Agia Pelagia:
Beach
Agia Pelagia is a small harbour village around 20km down the north
coast from Irakilon, and is therefore only around 20klm from the
airport. Agia Pelagia was also the site of an ancient Greek city,
although it has not been established what the city was called.
Some historians suggest that it could have been Apolonia, the
city that was thought to have been destroyed by the Kydonians
in 171 B.C. but as yet, no-one really knows.
