Agios Sostis:
Beach islet (pier)
About 100 metres from the shore at the southern end of Laganas
bay, lies the picturesque islet of Agios Sostis. Joined to the
island before the earthquake of 1633, it was originally home
for the chapel of St Sostis. Now a tourist attraction it is home
to a restaurant and a bar along with a beach and bay of its own.
The islet is easily reached via a wooden walkway which is roughly
five minutes walk from the village on the mainland.
